Vedic Chanting is the ancient art of transmitting the Veda-s orally, from teacher to student, in a strictly prescribed way. This practice hones your listening skills tremendously, improves memory, works to extend the breath fully, and can lead to a deep meditative state.
We will learn Ganapati Prarthana, from the Taittiriya Samhita. This lively chant is addressed to Ganesha, who embodies Wisdom. The mantra is oftentimes chanted to overcome obstacles and usher in auspicious new beginnings.
This course is open to beginners and experienced chanters alike.

In this workshop series we will explore the structure and function of the thoracic and pelvic diaphragms, and how they relate to other diaphragm qualities throughout the body. Through the structural pathways of the skeletal system and breath awareness we will look at ways to coordinate and relate the diaphragms of the body to each other, to develop and explore different qualities of being and moving. Looking through this lens, we will investigate ways to provide support for the pre- & postnatal student, to find balance in this time of immense change. We will also discuss important guidelines and issues that can arise when teaching both pre- and postnatal women.
